How did you get started in making your art?
“Since I was a baby I’ve been painting and drawing, it’s always been my way of relaxing and mediation. My father is a painter so I grew up with the strong smells of oil color and what not around his studio.”
How would you describe your art?
“If I would answer that question a year ago I’d probably say it’s totally an initiative process of no planing and just drawing. But since I started studying at Konstfack last fall, I must say that building a narrative has become a focus in my illustrations. I notice my self thinking first ” what would I like to tell” before I start drawing, in comparison with earlier when I’d first paint and then try and figure out the meaning. Today I’d say it’s a mix between both. But every picture has its own full story.

What are the inspiration behind your art?
“Depends totally, stories of women, feminine energy inspires me allot! And strength and love together. Rebirth and evolving. There are also real life artist like Zio Ziegler and Leif podhansky who I really admire for their genius brains. But really really good storytellers and illustrators go straight into my heart as well. And we learn allot about them in school where I study graphic design and illustration.”
Do you have a favorite picture from what you’ve made? And why?
“I think “revealing her truth” is my favorite, it was a commission for a friend as a gift to his girlfriend. She loved space and octopuses so I created this universe like curtain ( with a hiding octopus in zit) that she pulls up to show her inner magical and blooming world. I think it symbolizes mystery and the secret Devine feminine beauty of love.”
